STL – Saint Louis Airport Parking

Saint Louis International Airport (STL) was the first municipally-owned airport in the United States. It was used as a manufacturing plant for aircraft during World War II. STL used to be the hub for now defunct TWA, which was bought out by American Airlines. It continued to be a hub for American until the airline officially closed its hub in 2010. This lessened traffic to the airport, although some of the slack has been picked up by Southwest, which has made Saint Louis a focus city.

The airport is actually quite large, with four runways and two terminals. Each terminal has a rail station, which allows passengers to board the city’s light rail service (the Red Line runs into the center of the city). There are also bus routes (#49 and #66) that take passengers from the center of the city directly to the terminals.
The Hilton St. Louis Airport, across the street from the airport, is a popular high-quality place for airport users who do not want to stay in the center of the city.
