PNS – Pensacola Airport Parking

Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport (PNS) is located three miles outside of Pensacola, Florida.  AirTran Airways and Delta Airlines are the only major airlines to offer direct flights into the airport (both from Atlanta).  All other commercial flights are connection flights operated by regional affiliates, most of whom are affiliated with major carriers.   There are a total of 12 gates in PNS’s one terminal building.  Three of these gates are used only for commuter flights.  The airport is used by Pensacola area residents and people from other places on the Florida Panhandle and in Southern Alabama.

The airport can be reached by car on Interstate 110.  Other forms of ground transit are lacking as this is a small airport.  There are a few terminal amenities.  Still, this is the most modern and busiest airport in this part of the Gulf Coast.  PNS has its roots in the 1930s, when it consisted of two grass runways.  A terminal building was built in 1950 and there have been several major upgrades since that time.
