Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP) is the busiest airport in the Midwestern Lakes region. It is the 30th busiest in the world and serves more than 116 domestic and 14 international non-stop destinations. As one of the nations several civilian-military airports, MSP houses two commercial terminals as well as the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Joint Air Reserve Station. It serves as the hub for Sun Country Airlines and the 3rd largest hub for Delta in the U.S. MSP has undergone several expansion projects, the most recent of which was the total renovation and expansion of the Humphrey Terminal (now Terminal 2). As demand continues to grow, the airport has plans for further expansion to allow for double the flight traffic out of Terminal 2, as well as the addition another concourse in Terminal 1.
MSP is located off I-494 and can be reached by city bus, shuttle bus, car and light-rail. The train has stops at both airport terminals and connects to Downtown Minneapolis and the Mall of America.
