MCI – Kansas City International Airport Parking
Kansas City International Airport (MCI) serves around 11 million passengers per year. It is a reasonably busy airport, with various airlines flying to 49 non-stop destinations, mostly in the US. Southwest has the most flights to and from MCI. The airport is also a hub for Frontier Airlines and Great Lakes Airlines.
The airport can be reached by car via Interstate 29 and Interstate 435. Bus #129, run by the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, makes 18 trips between the airport and central K.C. daily Monday to Friday between 6am and 6am. It is the best public transportation option.
MCI has three separated, ring-shaped terminals and three runways. Passengers can travel between the terminals on shuttle buses.
MCI will be one of the first airports in the US to use the new Full Body Scanners at TSA checkpoints. The airport underwent a major renovation in 2004. It included new signage, larger passenger waiting and unloading areas and general terminal improvements.
The Kansas City Airport Marriott, located on the airport grounds, is the most convenient hotel option.
