LAS – Las Vegas Airport Parking

Las Vegas McCarran Airport (LAS) is one of the largest airports in the US.  It sees over 44 million passengers each year.  Named after a former Nevada senator, it is the largest base for both Southwest Airlines and Allegiant Air.  US Airways and United both have approximately a 10% share of the total traffic.

The airport has grown exponentially since it opened in 1948.  Even at that time it was one of the world’s busiest airports.  After deregulation, the amount of traffic into LAS doubled.  New terminal buildings were built to deal with the increase in traffic.

McCarran has two commercial terminals (1 and 2).  Terminal 1, with 96 gates, sees most of the flights.  There are 4 concourses connected with an automated people mover. Terminal 2 is for international flights, which come from Canada, Mexico, East Asia and Europe.

McCarran is located near highways 15 and 215.  The airport can be accessed via Tropicana Avenue.  Buses run by RTC also connect the Strip and Downtown L.V. with the airport (routes #109 and #108).
