IAD – Washington Dulles Airport Parking
Washington Dulles International Airport is located in Dulles, Virginia, about 25 miles from Downtown Washington DC. It is the largest airport in the capitol region and serves more than 23 million passengers each year. It is also one of the busiest airports in the US in terms of international traffic. United maintains a hub at IAD. Nearly 60% of all the passengers who pass through the terminals are traveling on the planes operated by United and its affiliates. Many major international airlines land at the airport daily.
Dulles has two airside terminal buildings, each housing two concourses. The landside terminal is known for its sweeping shape and large, airy interior. The Dulles Access Road is a toll road that connects major highways with the airport. Surprisingly, there is no rail service to IAD. Metrobus route #5A connects central DC with the airport. The airport was originally built in the 1950s and ‘60s and renovated in the 1990s. New upgrades include a people mover called the AeroTrain that connects the ticketing area with the passenger concourses.
