ELP – El Paso Airport Parking

El Paso International Airport (ELP) is a busy small airport in Southern Texas.  Southwest Airlines has the largest number of flights of any airline out of the airport and serves destinations around Texas and throughout the western US.  ELP serves about 1.5 million passengers per year.

The airport is composed of three runways and 1 terminal with 2 concourses. Sun Metro bus routes #33 and #57 provide service to the airport, which is also accessible by car via Highway 10.

The airport was originally built in 1929 to serve as a base for transcontinental mail planes. In 1936, American Airlines established a commercial base and El Paso International Airport began. During World War II, the airport was used by the United States Army Air Forces as a training base.

The airport is known not only as a connecting airport for people traveling to larger destination in Texas, but also as an important cargo airport.
