CVG – Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport Parking

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is known under the FAA code CVG,  because the nearest city to the airport is Covington, Kentucky.  CVG is a hub for Delta, which began services to and from the airport in the 1960s. Although the airline has had several cutbacks, Cincinnati remains  the 5th largest hub for Delta in the US.  Around 1.5 million passengers travel from the airport annually. The airport consists of three terminals, though only two are in use for commercial flights.

Passengers can get to the airport on TANK’s (Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky) #2 bus, which provides airport service to and from downtown Cincinnati.  The airport is accessible by car via highway I-71 or I-75.

CVG was opened in 1944.  Delta’s first jet service at the airport began in 1960. Since then, Delta’s business has dictated the growth and cuts that have occurred at the airport. Among these have been several terminal renovations and some runway expansions that took place in the 70s.

Cincinnati’s flights go to major destinations like Chicago O’Hare, Washginton Dulles and Denver. Many “smaller cities” are served by Delta Connection flights. There are also several fights to destinations in Mexico and Canada
