CLT – Charlotte Airport Parking
Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is one of the busiest airports in the Southeastern US and the 25th busiest airport in the world. It is an important hub for US Airways. The airport has one terminal building with 5 concourses. US Airways and its affiliates dominate four of those concourses (B, C, D, and E). Other major carriers fly to the airport’s Concourse A from their hub cities. 35 million passengers pass through the terminal each year.
There is a bus service that runs regularly between early morning and midnight between downtown Charlotte and the airport. It is known as the CATS Sprinter Enhanced Bus Service.
The airport began as Charlotte Municipal Airport in the 1930s. Eastern Airlines and Piedmont Airlines, which later merged with USAir, made Charlotte a hub and spurred renovations and expansions in the ‘70s, ‘80s and early ‘90s. Further expansions are planned for the future.
