CHS – Charleston Airport Parking
Charleston International Airport (CHS) is a commercial-military airport located near the city of Charleston, South Carolina. It is a small airport, serving around 1 million passengers each year. The airport has two runways, both of which are used by commercial flights and by planes from Charleston Air Force Base (which is on airport grounds). CHS’s commercial building consists of one terminal with two concourses and 10 gates (not all are in use).
Most flights out of CHS are connection flights to larger airports in the region. Charlotte, Atlanta and Washington’s two airports (Dulles and Reagan) are major destinations. Almost all flights are operated by regional affiliates of US Airways, American, Delta and Untied. The airport is located in North Charleston and can be accessed via Highway 526.
Passengers from around the coastal and lowland regions of Eastern South Carolina use the airport. Most catch connecting flights in East Coast hubs before reaching their final destination.
